Planning Board Meeting - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Application of Joseph Spitzer, 25 Singer Avenue, Spring Valley, NY 10977 for Final Subdivision approval of a subdivision plan entitled “37 Noyes Avenue”, proposing to subdivide the 0.368-acre lot into two-lots and construct a two- family on each lot. The existing single-family dwelling and driveway will be demolished. The property in question is located at 37 Noyes Avenue, Spring Valley, New York on the south side of Noyes Avenue, approximately 300 feet east of Fairview Avenue, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 57.18-2-65.2 and in an R-15 zone. On November 3, 2025, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Site Plan Discussion with respect to an application of Cong Yeshivath Masmidim, Inc., 46 College Road, Monsey, New York 10952, of a site development plan entitled “10 Sky Meadow Drive”, proposing to maintain the existing contractor storage yard on the 8.41-acre lot. The property in question is located at 10 Sky Meadow Road, Suffern, New York on the south side of Sky Meadow Road, approximately 0 feet to the corner of Route 202, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 40.12-2-7 and is located in an RR-80 Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on March 16, 2026, and a coordinated review was initiated on March 17, 2026. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Site Plan Discussion with respect to an application of Brozel Realty Corp, PO Box 200, Monsey, NY 10952, of a site development plan entitled “Requa Lane Building”, proposing to construct a new four-story, 44,060sf building (first floor retail, remaining floors totaling 17 residential dwelling units),81 parking spaces are provided on the 1.29-acre lot. The existing gas station will remain. The property in question is located at 72-74 Route 59, Monsey New York on the east side of Requa Lane, approximately 0 feet north of Route 59, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.16-1-4 and is located in an MU-1 Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on March 16, 2026, and a coordinated review was initiated on March 17, 2026. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Site Plan Approval with respect to an application of Sara Stern, 2 Meadow Lane, Monsey, NY 10952, of a site development plan entitled “44 Saddle River”, proposing an additional curb cut for the approved three family plus three accessory apartments on the 0.32-acre lot. The property in question is located at 44 Saddle River Road on the west side of Saddle River Road, approximately 0 feet south of Albert Drive, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.11-1-42 and is located in a R-15C zone. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Application of 17 Ravenna Drive, LLC, 17 Ravenna Drive, Pomona, NY 10970 for Amended Final Site Plan approval of a site development plan entitled “17 Ravenna Drive”, proposing an additional 39 parking spaces (for a total of 60 spaces) to the previously approved site plan of a new house of worship on the 1.33-acre lot. The property in question is located at 17 Ravenna Drive, Pomona, New York on the east side of Ravenna Drive, approximately 50 feet west of Tiffin Lane, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 33.20-1-24 and in an R-35 zone. On December 9, 2025, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
