The Office of Emergency Preparedness & Safety (OEP) will help manage, plan, and coordinate emergency response and emergency planning and preparedness for the Town of Ramapo. The office will work closely with local, county, state, and federal agencies to ensure that the Town of Ramapo’s needs are properly prepared for as we continue to grow into the future. The office will also work closely with the various Emergency Services, local leaders, and members of the community to ensure that any potential emergency needs will be properly addressed.

The OEP will help develop various safety programs and initiatives for the Town of Ramapo in conjunction with Ramapo Police, EMS, and Fire services.

Rockland County Access and Functional Needs Registry

 

The Rockland County Access and Functional Needs Registry is a voluntary registry for residents with limited mobility or special needs, which might impact a timely response during an emergency. If you believe you, or someone you care for, is unable to independently act upon emergency protective orders, please continue with registration:

Why should you register?

    To receive individual notification when an evacuation has been ordered
    To alert local emergency personnel of your individual considerations
    To allow emergency responders an opportunity to plan and be prepared
 

Please be as thorough as possible in your survey responses. The information collected here will be kept confidential, and once you have enrolled, we will contact you periodically during routine testing of our automated notification system.

 

The Ramapo OEP works closely with the Rockland County OEM and strongly encourages qualified residents within the Town of Ramapo to enroll in this important program.
