NOTICE OF HEARING
INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW
ZONING AMENDMENTS
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Ramapo, New York, on May 27, 2026, a local law, titled “Zoning Amendments,” which local law would amend certain provisions of the Town zoning code, including definitions, accessory apartments, lot coverage for schools, and off-street parking, and would allow catering facilities as a special use in the Commercial Corridor (CC) zoning district.
A complete copy of the Introductory Local Law is available for inspection at the Clerk’s office.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, the Town Board of the Town of Ramapo, New York, will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law on July 20, 2026, at 7:00 P.M. or soon thereafter, at the Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901, at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard.
The Town of Ramapo will make every effort to assure that the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reasonable accommodations should contact the Town Clerk.
