Planning Board Meeting January 13, 2025 at 7:30 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 7:30pm.

Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person.  Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing.  The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.

  1. Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Amended Site Plan discussion with respect to an application of Congregation Beth Rochel of Monsey, 145 Saddle River Road, Airmont, NY 10952 for approval of a site development plan entitled “145 Saddle River Road”, proposing to construct a new building and wedding hall on the approved school site of 9.7210 acres. The property in question is located at 145 Saddle River Road, Airmont, New York on the east side of Saddle River Road, approximately 225 feet north of Old Nyack Tpke, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.16-2-14.7 and in an R-15A zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as a Type 1 SEQRA Action on January 28, 2025, and a coordinated review was initiated on December 5, 2025.   Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
  1. Application of Chateau Yitzhor, LLC, 203 Bates Drive, Monsey, NY 10952, for Final Subdivision Approval of a subdivision plan entitled “180 Remsen Avenue”, proposing to subdivide the 0.68-acre lot into two lots and construct a two-family dwelling plus one accessory apartment on each new lot. The property in question is located at 180 Remsen Avenue, Monsey, New York on the east side of Remsen Avenue, approximately 300 feet north of Hilda Lane, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.10-3-3 and is located in a R-15A Zone. On May 13, 2025, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
