Planning Board Meeting February 24, 2025 at 7:30 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Application of Abe Weinstein, 10 Nesher Court, Unit 202, Monsey, NY for Final Site Plan and Special Use Permit approval of a site development plan entitled “Yeshiva Vien-65 Highview”, for a project entitled “Congregation Vien of Monsey” proposing a phased school site plan. In Phase 1, the existing structures will be demolished (65 & 67 Highview) and a new school building will be constructed to accommodate additional classroom space for the existing school at 61 College and the lot lines will be disclaimed. In Phase 2, an additional new school building and parking lot are proposed. The property is 2.2061-acres and is located in a R-25 zone. The property in question is located at 61 College Road, 65 & 67 Highview Road on the south side of Highview Road, approximately 0 feet west of College Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.06-1-17, 18 & 19. On September 16, 2025, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Application of NY USA Development LLC, 15 Perman Drive #105, Spring Valley, NY 10977 for approval of a subdivision plan entitled “174-180 Saddle River Road” proposing to subdivide the 2.021-acre lot into eight-lots with a new two-family residence with one-accessory apartment on each new lot. The existing single-family dwelling will be demolished. The property in question is located at 174, 176, 178 & 180 Saddle River Road on the west side of Saddle River Road, approximately 0 feet West of Old Nyack Turnpike, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.19-4-1, 2, 3 & 4 and is located in an R-15A Zone. On August 26, 2025, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as a Type 1 SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Application of Prestige Builders USA, LLC, 21 North Madison Avenue, Spring Valley, NY 10977 for Final approval of a subdivision plan entitled “10 Meadow Lane” proposing to subdivide the 0.538-acre lot into two lots with a two-family dwelling plus one accessory apartment detached on each new lot. The property in question is located at 10 Meadow Lane, Monsey, New York on the west side of Meadow Lane, approximately 465 feet South of Grove Street which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.11-3-29 and is located in an R-15A Zone. On May 1, 2025, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Application of Rivka Weltscher, 24 Blueberry Hill Road, Spring Valley, New York 10977 for Final approval of a subdivision plan entitled “10 Greene Road” proposing to subdivide the 0.612-acre lot into two lots with a single-family dwelling on each new lot. The property in question is located at 10 Greene Road, Spring Valley on the southwest side of Greene Road, approximately 300 feet West of Edward Lane which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 50.19-3-85 and is located in an R-15 Zone. On October 22, 2025, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
