Planning Board Meeting December 9, 2025 at 7:30 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Amended Site Plan discussion with respect to an application of Khal Zichron Chanina Getzel, Inc. for approval of a site development plan entitled “17 Ravenna Drive”, proposing to amended the previously approved Local House of Worship site plan to include an additional 60 parking spaces on the 1.33-acre site. The property in question is located at 17 Ravenna Drive, Pomona New York on the east side of Ravenna Drive, approximately 50 feet west of Tiffin Lane, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 33.20-1-24 and in an R-35 zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on September 3, 2025, and a coordinated review was initiated on September 8, 2025. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Application of Sunrise Square, LLC, 5 Ida Road, Monsey, NY 10952, for Final Site Plan and Special Use Permit Approval of a site development plan entitled “Shoppers Haven”, proposing an amended site plan including relocation of the existing Simcha Hall to the basement of Building #1 on the 1.5-acre lot. The property in question is located at 34-38 Main Street, Monsey, New York on the east side of NYS Route 306, at the intersection of Orchard Street, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.11-2-31 and is located in a CS Zone. This is a Type II SEQRA Action and no further SEQRA review is required.
- Application of 165 Saddle LLC, 8 Merrick Drive, Spring Valley, NY 10977, for Re-Approval of Final Subdivision of a subdivision plan entitled “165 Saddle River Road”, proposing to subdivide 0.85-acres into two lots and construct a two-family dwelling with one accessory apartment on each lot. The property in question is located at 165 Saddle River Road, Airmont, New York on the east side of Saddle River Road approximately 0 feet North of Old Nyack Turnpike, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.19-4-5, and is located in a R-15A Zone. On September 10, 2024, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
