A LOCAL LAW REPEALING CHAPTER 255 OF THE CODE
OF THE TOWN OF RAMAPO ENTITLED “TAXICABS” AND
ENACTING A NEW CHAPTER 255 IN LIEU THEREOF
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Ramapo, New York, on July 20, 2026, a local law, titled “A Local Law Repealing Chapter 255 of the Code of the Town of Ramapo Entitled “Taxicabs” and Enacting a New Chapter 255 in Lieu Thereof,” which local law would repeal the current Chapter 255 of the Town Code and replace it with a new Chapter 255.
A complete copy of the Introductory Local Law is available for inspection at the Clerk’s office.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, the Town Board of the Town of Ramapo, New York, will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law on August 10, 2026, at 7:01 P.M. or soon thereafter, at the Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901, at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard.
